Center Island

The builder of a new house installed the appliances and cabinets around the kitchen’s perimeter and left the middle of the kitchen empty. The homeowner felt unmoored because there was no anchor in the room and was frustrated because there was no surface big enough to prepare meals.

Blue Moon created a center island to fix those problems. Spice racks were designed and built for both ends of the island to put key ingredients within arm’s reach. The black granite top matches the color of the appliances and has two gentle curves for flair.
